This week, Detective Rich Wistocki of Be Sure Consulting Inc. spoke with our 3rd through 5th and middle school students about the real risks of social media and online strangers. With years of experience in Child Cyber Crimes, Det. Wistocki shared powerful tips on staying safe online, recognizing danger, and speaking up. The night before, during our Parent University event, Det. Wistocki joined as a guest presenter to speak with parents about the same issues—offering insight into online trends, apps, and how to support children in navigating online risks safely. Det. Wistocki’s message was clear: No one has the right to make you feel uncomfortable or unsafe online. Students walked away with practical tools, confidence, and a reminder that trusted adults—like parents/guardians—are always there to help. Thank you, Det. Concert Choir and Concert Band students went to Proviso West for a wonderful concert and meet and greet with the high school choral students and director. Afterwards, we had a pizza party. It was a great time!

This past Tuesday we had our spring band & chorus concert. Giving a shout out to my amazing Bluejay Chorus and Concert Choir groups. They performed wonderfully, looking confident and holding their harmonies. We have such talented young singers at Hillside School! @HillsideSD93

Today marks the final session of our Spanish Club! It's been a truly wonderful experience for everyone involved. Thank you all for your incredible support in making this a great success. A special shoutout to our amazing volunteer middle school students, Sophia and Arleth, for their invaluable assistance throughout the meetings.

Open auditions for Proviso’s Got Talent were a huge success! Due to the overwhelming response, we’re excited to announce a Last Chance Open Audition happening this Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. We had an amazing Culinary Day at Spanish Club! A big thank you to Mrs. Huicochea for showing us how to make the perfect guacamole. It was so much fun! After that, we got to express our creativity by sculpting food out of clay. What a fantastic day!
