Shoutout to Mr. Banks for planning a creative and engaging Halloween math activity! Our scholars put their math skills to the test, solving problems to earn different pieces of their very own Frankenstein monster! 🧩💚
With every correct answer, their monsters came to life! ⚡🧠
SUPER READERS TO THE RESCUE! 💥 Our little 1st Grade superheroes are discovering the SUPERPOWER of Silent E! ✨ With just one magical letter, cap becomes cape and kit becomes kite! 🪄 Through fun, hands-on learning, our scholars are building their phonics skills and unlocking the power of reading—one word at a time!
Yesterday, Ms. Hospodar came into our classroom to read a book called Have You Filled a Bucket Today? The students learned that kind words make others feel good. Kind words also make the person who says them feel good. Then, the students decorated a cup to use as a bucket. The students wrote kind words on notes. They put the notes into the buckets of three classmates. The buckets will stay on the ledge for the next few weeks. The students have a challenge. They must fill at least one new person's bucket each day.
Our Spanish Club had a wonderful time creating a beautiful ofrenda (altar) to celebrate Día de los Muertos! A big thank-you to Mrs. Ortiz and all the students who helped make this special project possible. It was a great time learning, sharing, and celebrating culture together!
Our Pre-K students had an absolute blast picking out their own pumpkins in the courtyard today!
Last week we had a productive Teacher's Institute. Half our staff completed life-saving CPR certification, while the other half conducted instructional walkthroughs to elevate classroom teaching practices. Safe students, strong instruction!
