SUMMARY OF BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING

At its regular meeting of November 14, 2007 the Board of Education discussed/acted upon the following:

• Mr. Molby added Item 8.A.4., Employment/Resignation
• Open Forum
• No Correspondence

- Adopted a Consent Agenda for Agenda Items 6.A. (Minutes from the regular meeting of October 24, 2007); and Agenda Items 7.A. through 7.H. (Financial Reports).

• The Board accepted the resignation, for the purpose of retirement, from Donna Kinowski, Kitchen Assistant, effective at the end of the 2007 – 2008 school year.
• The Board accepted the resignation, for the purpose of retirement, from Renee Norton, Fourth Grade Teacher, effective at the end of the 2009 – 2010 school year.
• The Board accepted the resignation, for the purpose of retirement, from Eilene Bry, Second Grade Teacher, effective at the end of the 2010 – 2011 school year.
• The Board accepted the resignation, for the purpose of retirement, from Linda Zeman, Art Teacher, effective at the end of the 2010 – 2011 school year.
• Mr. Collins will be the Delegate representing Hillside School District 93 at the 2007 Delegate Assembly Meeting on November 17, 2007, at the Triple I Conference.
• Mr. Molby gave an overview of the School Report Card, the end of IMAGE testing and AYP.
• Mrs. Barthold gave an overview of the P.A.E.C. Governing Board Meeting which included the settlement of contract negotiations, successful fundraiser, and expanding list of jobsites for vocational program.
• The Board received Triple I Conference information and discussed sessions which would be of most benefit to District 93.

Mr. Collins and Mrs. Pierce gave an overview of the T & L Conference they attended in early November.
