Admission of Resident Students Policy
Residency
Students whose legal residences are in District 93 may attend Hillside School. In case of doubt or dispute, the burden of providing such residence shall be upon the parent/guardian of the child. Enrollment of students new to the District, with the exception of those children entering school for the first time, shall not be considered complete until documentary evidence of prior school attendance is presented. Furthermore, enrollment shall be considered temporary until a residency check conducted by an investigation service representing the Board of Education has been completed. Enrolling students and their families shall be notified of this at the time of enrollment.

In addition to the above, under Illinois State law the Board of Education may act to collect tuition from anyone who fraudulently enrolls a youngster. Tuition during the 2001 2002 school year was $9,726.30.

Recent State of Illinois legislation makes it a misdemeanor. punishable by a $500 fine or up to 30 days in jail to knowingly enroll a child in the wrong school district.
Boundaries
The Hillside boundaries for School District 93 are the DuPage/Cook County Line to the west which approximates with the Tri State tollway, Madison Avenue to the north, Mannheim Road to the east down to Canterbury to Haas Avenue, north to Roosevelt Road, then south on Wolf Road to the forest preserve just south of 31 st Street. These are only approximate boundaries. Due to specific boundary restrictions, parents new to the area are urged to contact the school to confirm if they are within District 93 boundaries.
