Extra Curricular Activities & Eligibility
Students in grades 5 through 8 may remain in school to pursue extra curricular activities, or to be a spectator for an activity, if they meet all eligibility requirements, or if they are accompanied by a parent.

Students have the opportunity to participate in the following extra curricular activities: Student Council, Yearbook, Volleyball, Soccer, Basketball, Cheerleading, Track, Room Parties, NonAcademic Field Trips, and Assemblies. Students participating in any extra curricular activity must maintain eligibility to participate in or attend any meetings, practices, games, or the activities mentioned above. Students are considered to be ineligible when they are marked so by at least two teachers, or in two subject areas (on the weekly eligibility sheet), or when they are currently on academic or behavioral probation. With parent notification, teachers will keep students after school and/or require an 8:00 A.M. reporting time at school for students missing or not completing class work on a daily basis, with parent notification.

All students must behave in an appropriate manner while on District 93 property. Students may only participate in after school activities if arrangements have been made with parents to pick them up at the conclusion of the event. Only the students involved in the activity may stay after school. Other arrangements need to be made for siblings. Students are not permitted to use the office telephone to make these arrangements, but may use the lobby pay phone. Members of sports teams must arrange for pickup by 5:00 P.M. or 5:15 P.M. following practices, and no later than 20 minutes following the completion of a game. Advance notice of games and schedule changes will be given for planning purposes. Due to limited space, the school reserves the right to determine who can remain as spectators for athletic events. Parents are always welcome and every effort is made to provide seating for visitors. Students are not permitted to leave the building during an event; if they do, they will not be permitted to return. No candy, chewing gum or beverages will be allowed in the school. If athletes repeatedly wait for transportation beyond the allowed time, they will be asked to withdraw from the activity. All students must behave in a safe and orderly manner while waiting for their rides.
