SUMMARY OF BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING

At its regular meeting of December 12, 2007, the Board of Education discussed/acted upon the following:

• No additions or deletions to the agenda
• Open Forum
• The Board received thank you notes from staff members for the Holiday Dinner

- Adopted a Consent Agenda for Agenda Items 6.A. (Minutes from regular meeting of November 14, 2007); 6.B. (Minutes from Closed Session held during the regular meeting of November 14, 2007); Agenda Item 6.C. (Destruction of Closed Session Tape Recordings ( April 5, 2006); and Items 7.A. through 7.H. (Financial Reports)

• Opened the Public Hearing for the 2007 Tax Levy at 7:38 p.m.
• Mr. Leisten reviewed the 2007 Tax Levy with the Board of Education
• Closed the Public Hearing for the 2007 Tax Levy at 8:02 p.m.
• Adopted the 2007 Tax Levy
• Authorized the submission of the Certificate of Compliance for Presiding Officers
• Adopted the Resolution regarding Tax Cap Limitation
• Adopted New Board Policy IGA – Bullying, as presented
• Accepted resignation, for the purpose of retirement, from Karen Trayling, Librarian, effective at the end of the 2010 – 2011 school year
• Heard PAEC Governing Board report from Mrs. Barthold
• Reviewed the preliminary Seniority Lists
• Heard reports from the Triple I Conference
• Received invitation to annual ED-RED Dinner Meeting
• Mr. Molby updated the Board on the “Moment of Silence”
• Mr. Bogren gave the Board a school update which included discipline, Project “IDEA”, and assessment
