At the regular meeting on July 11, 2007 at 7:37 p.m., the Board of Education discussed/acted upon the following:
Mr. Molby deleted Agenda Item 3 and Agenda Item 9.A.7.
A thank you note was received from Marilyn Wissmueller for her retirement recognition.
Adopted a Consent Agenda for Agenda Item 6.A. (Minutes from the regular meeting of June 13, 2007); Agenda Item 6.B. (Minutes of the closed session held during the regular meeting of June 13, 2007); Agenda Item 6.C. (Destruction of Closed Session tape recording for October 26, 2005) and Agenda Items 7.A. through 7.H. (Financial Reports).
Employed Kumar Kayastha as the Junior High Reading Teacher for the 2007 - 08 school year.
Employed Tracy Beck as a Physical Education Teacher for the 2007 – 08 school year.
Employed Kristin Koutsis as a Fifth Grade Teacher for the 2007 – 08 school year.
Accepted the resignation of Katherine Kayastha, Fifth Grade Teacher.
Accepted the resignation of Agnes Iraci, Kindergarten Teacher.
Employed Lauren Worley as a Fifth Grade Teacher for the 2007 – 08 school year.
Adopted Resolution regarding the Property Tax Appeal Board with respect to the 2006 real estate assessments.
Mrs. Barthold gave overview of the P.A.E.C. Governing Board.
Mr. Leisten gave the Board an update on the facilities and the summer projects.
Mr. Molby gave the Board Members a copy of the I.A.S.B.’s Master Board Member Activity Summary for 2007 – 2008.
Mr. Molby read the first reading of Revised Board Policy IFCA – Student Dress Standards.
The Board reviewed Policy IG – Discipline of Students.

Review and Adoption of Tentative FY08 District Budget
B. Personnel: Employment/Resignation
Held Closed Session for the purpose of discussing matters related to semi-annual review of classified closed session minutes, employment of personnel, collective bargaining, and student discipline.
Upon review of the classified closed session minutes from previous meetings, it was agreed to retain them as classified and review them again in January 2008.
