SUMMARY OF BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING

At its regular meeting of October 10, 2007, the Board of Education discussed/acted upon the following:

- President Pierce appointed Mr. Cole to act as Secretary Pro Tem

- Mr. Molby deleted items 8.A., 8.B., 8.C., and 9.A. from the agenda

- Adopted a Consent Agenda for Agenda Item 6.A. (Minutes from the regular meeting of September 26, 2007); Agenda Item 6.B. (Closed Session Minutes from regular meeting of September 26, 2007); and Agenda Items 7.A. through 7.H. (Financial Reports)

• Adopted District Goals for 2007 – 2008.

• Miss Morenzoni gave the Board an overview of the current discipline data and implementation of new guidelines, including morning detentions, and dress code updates. Mr. Molby reviewed the School Improvement Plan Goals from 2006/07 – 2007/08.

• The Board received a copy of the IASB Resolutions and will discuss any comments or concerns at the next meeting for President Pierce and Delegate Cole to bring to the November state conference.
